How to connect up perfectly the FOSTER perimeter barriers?

The Foster barriers are pre-connected by the manufacturer. To connect them up perfectly please consult the ?Installation and application manual? of MiTech (see 11/13 pages ).

How can you see if the perimeter barrier is connected up correctly?

A correctly connected barrier shows a value of connection about 4 Volt (above 4 Volt the values of the tension are considered excellent). It?s important to check that all of the red Leds of the electronics of the RX lens must be turned off. In case that some or all of the Leds would give light, orientate the TX lens until the light goes out. 

What to do in case of fog?

In case of fog you have to insert the signal-low part in position ON, the barrier will automatically de-activate itself in presence of thick fog. In these occasions you can activate a voice signal at the central too.

What should you do if you have installed a perimeter barrier and you have pets?

In this case you have to select the Jumper AND that you can find on the RX motherboard in position ON.

How many couples of perimeter barriers you need to the protection of four sides?

To protect four sides you need four couples of perimeter barriers. You have to know that it is impossible to make a corner by orientating the lenses to two different barriers.

What to do in case of insufficient functioning of the perimeter barrier?

In case of insufficient functioning you should check if all the settings and the connecting up were performed correctly. 

What should I do if the barrier generates false alarms?

Check if the connecting up was performed correctly. Check if the voltage is stabilized, it can never be lower than 12V. Activate the function AND if the barriers are installed in the open-air. Activate the function of disconnection in case of installing in zones where the risk of fog is high. Make sure that there are no interferences caused by the presence of photocells (automatic gates) or microwave sensors.

Ice and freeze are two insidious enemies. But MiTech has found a way to neutralize this danger by inserting in the Foster barriers an automatic thermostat device that activates itself in case of adverse weather conditions.

You have to use the 12Vcc feeding, and separately 24 Vac for the thermostat function.
